Anna Borg is a highly accomplished, results-oriented executive and the President and CEO of Vattenfall, one of Europe’s largest producers and retailers of electricity and heat. Operating at the highest echelon of the energy sector, she leads a 20,000-employee multinational corporation with a strategic mandate to drive the transition toward fossil-free living and sustainable utility-scale asset ownership. Anna possesses a uniquely comprehensive understanding of the energy value chain, having held multiple critical leadership roles within Vattenfall prior to her appointment as CEO. As Chief Financial Officer (CFO), she directed the group's financial strategy, treasury, M&A, and risk management. Previously, as Senior Vice President of Markets, she oversaw European energy trading, asset optimization, and large-scale commercial origination for international B2B customers. Beyond her executive leadership in the utility sector, Anna holds highly strategic board assignments—including FAM and CellMark—providing her with deep oversight into global supply chains, industrial process solutions, and advanced manufacturing.
